This Microsoft Word Tips & Microsoft Word Help page provides a description of my Classic Form Controls template add-in that restores the classic protected form controls to a custom group visible on the Developer tab.
In the Ribbon UI of Word 2007 & 2010, Microsoft software developers buried a few of the classic protected form controls in the "Legacy Forms" gallery.
For whatever reason they left out the control to lock and unlock the form. Here you will learn how to restore all of the controls from the old "Forms" toolbar directly on the Developer tab.
Version 1.2 co-developed with friend and Word MVP Graham Mayor, enhances the original utility used to speed up creating and editing formfield dropdown list entries. Use the utility as described below:
